From Tulsa to Cardiff, the enduring legend of the late Gene Pitney

Comment: Take care, my friend. Like most of your readers,
you don't know me, or the multitude of people who have admired,
laughed and loved you, and your column for all these years.
Thank you for the blessing you've bestowed upon us: a priceless
gift of humor. And it's especially priceless during this dark
Orwellian nightmare that's currrently besieging and destroying
our American way of life. Yes, your humor is a blessing indeed, sir.
May God love you and keep you in His heart, so He alone can
enjoy the pleasure of your humor for an eternity. We all love
you, sir. And there aren't sufficient words in the English language
to convey how much you will be missed by all of us. Again,
thank you for the good times from the bottom of my heart, and
of those other souls who've had the distinct privilege of knowing
you personally through your work of humor. The tears swelling
up from within, and my sore throat, tell it like it is... They'll never
be another like you, sir. They broke the mold after you were born.
One of a kind. Farewell, my friend...
With respect and admiration,
F. Scott Sinclair

"WHAT HAPPENED TO MY COUNTRY?"
PUTS A FROG IN MY THROAT AND AN
ACHE IN MY STOMACH. STEVEN OSBORN
HAS SPOKEN FOR US ALL: AMERICA'S OBITUARY
A personal note to the author, Steve Osborn:
No truer words have been spoken...
And no doubt, you and I have crossed
each others path at one time or another,
unknowningly over the years. In a grocery store,
bait shop, or just walking along the beach. Perhaps
we merely crossed paths as my father and mother
drove us to and from the cottages on Camano Island.
I've stayed many weekends at a resort
that caters to weekend folks who enjoy living in
small cabins next to (literally) the shores of
Puget Sound throughout the years. You are blessed
to be able to live on Camano Island. A paradise unto
itself... Thank you neighbor for your honest and
forthright feelings about the State of the Union.
Best wishes to you, sir.
Sincerely,
Novelist F. Scott Sinclair

QUOTE:
What Happened To My Country?
By Steve Osborn
My God! What has happened to my nation?
My nation that no longer pays more than lip service
to its Constitution and Bill of Rights, which have been
a beacon to the world for over two centuries. My
nation that unilaterally discards treaties that were
the hope of a world of peace, guided by law and
diplomacy. My nation that will wage a war of
aggression against a far off nation that was no
threat to it, but that has lots of oil. My nation
that gives all of its wealth to the rich and is
satisfied to leave its citizens to starve, homeless,
unemployed and sickly.
