THERE'S SOMETHING IN THE AIR, OR SOMETHING'S BREWING--BUT WHAT? THE DOLLAR'S ABOUT TO COLLAPSE?! YOU'RE KIDDING ME, RIGHT? CHECK THIS ARTICLE OUT...

The US dollar on reprieve

The Asian Development Bank warns of threatening monetary turmoil

The oil trade is uneasy about the increasing impossibility
of reinvesting the petrodollars they are accumulating, whereas
the bank world is pondering over the dollar’s real value. A downturn
in trade has just begun on the stock exchanges of the Gulf, even
as the Asian Development Bank was warning its members against
a possible collapse of the US currency. What if the dollar was really
no longer anything but fiat money?

Stock crash shatters Saudi dreams

(Comment: With the greenback problems, debt problems,
trade balance problems...this could be America in the near
future. But it'll be many many times worse in America.
A much harsher 1929 is coming. It's not if it's coming,
but when it's coming. And as always, you'll never know....
Those responsible will never ever let you know. It's up to you
to be prepared: forewarned, if you will... And politicians
want us to invest in private accounts? The truth is in
the pudding: no thanks. )

Time to make a deal with Iran

Iran has had its say over the past few months,
defiantly pronouncing to the rest of the world
what it will or won't do regarding its nuclear
program. Now the world will have its chance
to speak, and if the diplomacy unfolding at the
United Nations stalls, the United States should
be ready to step to the fore before the crisis
escalates further.

DEMANDS OF IMMIGRANTS DISPLAY A PERVERSION OF LANGUAGE

Georgia Anne Geyer

WASHINGTON -- It's curious that the immigration
civil rights marches by undocumented men and women,
demanding their rights and amnesty while shouting,
"We are America," was held on May Day.

(Copyright (C) 2006 by F. Scott Sinclair. All Rights
Reserved. Comment: Perhaps if illegal aliens-both
men and women-wanted to prove their love (or
allegiance) towards America and a willingness to sacrifice
their lives for a chance to become an American:
they'd volunteer to join our armed forces. There deserved
reward? Citizenship at the other end of the tunnel. I'm
sure military recruiters could find enough recruits in a
pool of 12 million potential recruits, even if they had to
educate them to pass a GED test. And we'd be able to
weed out those who don't want to make a sacrifice
(and those who just want all the benefits: leeches), and/or
contributions to their new homeland. Beside, vetting
new recruits would weed out the undesirables as well. Maybe
we'd find some of those "phantom terrorists" who
destroyed our civil rights because of the enactment of
the Patriot Act because of their despicable behavior.
A win-win situation, don't you think? How's that for handling
two (maybe three--if we find a terrorist or two in the bunch)
problems: amnesty (conditional) and the military
manpower problem? And we wouldn't have to pay the
exorbitant recruitment incentives: the G.I. Bill and cash for
an education, bonuses, and the like. Citizenship is
reward enough. The most cherished reward any immigrant
could ever receive from anybody: citizenship in a
country of your choice. We'd save billions upon billions of dollars
in that regard alone. Two (or three--four) birds
taken out with one stone. Just my humble opinion.
Something to munch on... Nuff said. Take care.)

TUITION SOARS DUE TO KNOWLEDGE SHORTFALL

Ann Coulter

Every sentient, literate adult knows that the current
spike in gas prices is 90 percent due to forces completely
beyond the control of Congress, the White House or even
"Big Oil" itself. The laws of supply and demand determine
gas prices the same way those laws determine the price
of eggs, acid-washed blue jeans and Kanye West downloads.
