Beneath the Bottom of the Barrel By William Rivers Pitt

Quote:

Beneath the Bottom of the Barrel :    Information Clearing House: ICH

By William Rivers Pitt

A stark contrast of the haves and have nots is drawn here in this fine and articulate article about
our elderly, who must rummage through dumpsters in order to survive in the so-called: richest
country in the world. And with many seniors having to pay for the college educations of their
children because they co-signed a loan for their beloved children (50% of whom cannot secure
employment, thus defaulting on their loans), they themselves may have to forage the local dumpsters in order to pay Uncle Sam back. Yes, that's right, until they take their last breath on this earth. Just a little food for thought...

A Health Care Op-Ed By Novelist F. Scott Sinclair

Quote:

The following healthcare Op-Ed is: Copyright (C) 2012 by F. Scott Sinclair. All Rights Reserved.

How do we provide health care without bankrupting the country, aggravating the unemployment problem, and destroying consumerism as we know it? It's actually quite simple... How's that...? Eliminate all health care premiums. Yes, that's right, and for both employers, employees and the general public. How in the hell can you do that? A national health care vat or sales tax, that's how. And if you don't want to participate, you just don't have to buy that 50 inch Plasma TV you've always wanted, but couldn't afford before (but can now), or anything else for that matter. That's up to you. But I can tell you, with one-sixth of the U.S. economy (dollar-wise) freed up to buy things, health care becomes affordable almost instantly. Sure, you can buy supplemental insurance from private companies if you want to, but a national plan that's sponsored by the government, and/or the private sector (or a combo thereof) is free to all in a sense. Yes, it's another tax, but the money freed up from the elimination of premiums (for both businesses and employees and everyone else) such freed-up money (from the elimination of premiums) far exceeds any sales tax (or vat tax) you'll have to pay. That's right, everyone (which includes premiums paid by employers) would free-up on average about $15,000 per person per year. Now that's an economic stimulus par excellence if I've ever heard of one. And you in turn get something for your money: a new car, a big screen TV, a cruise around the world, new home, boat, or whatever you want in the form of a moderate sales or vat tax. Or if you're frugal, don't buy anything; hence, no health vat or sales tax needs to be paid whatsoever. And of course, nobody pays such a health tax on essentials like food, gas, etc. What do businesses or individuals get for their premiums nowadays? Most get nothing at all. Sure, some get a lot, but that's not the case for most people. You give insurance companies 10 or 15 thousand dollars per year to fatten the lining of their (the fat-cats) pockets, for nothing. Why nothing.. Because in most cases, you're responsible for co-pays and deductibles besides your outrageous monthly (yearly) premiums. Currently, you're in a lose-lose proposition. They (the insurance companies) are betting you won't get sick, and you're paying an inflated (enormous amount) monthly premium that says you're betting that you'll get sick. It's kind of like Las Vegas, the Casino has stacked the odds against you. In the end, you'll lose your money (bet). But if businesses (and you) aren't burdened with monthly premiums, it's a win-win proposition. This way businesses can hire more people because they don't have the burden of health care (premiums) forced upon them (or upon you as well). And likewise by having more people employed, the economy is resuscitated. When people have an extra 10 to 20 thousand in their pockets (and not in the greedy hands of the insurance companies & their flunkies: lobbyists), the economy thrives...generating new revenues, jobs and manufacturing opportunities, allowing everyone to prosper, not just the rich or businesses. Insurance companies are sucking the well dry of dollars and cents. A specific tax as mentioned above could only be used for healthcare purposes. In my opinion, the problem regarding health care (and our economy) could be solved in one fell swoop--or something of the sort. Take care, my friends. Best wishes. May God bless America. Sincerely, novelist F. F Scott Sinclair.

Time to Get Crazy By Chris Hedges

Op-Ed By F. Scott Sinclair. Copyright (C) 2012 by F. Scott Sinclair. All Rights Reserved.

A fascinating article about our handler--chief liar, and yes... overseer-er of us all; our revered so-called servant--Uncle Sam. From the Indians (the only true native Americans) to soldiers who are told to die for freedom and liberty to college students and healthcare serfs that we've all become, we're not free as we've been told from cradle to the grave. How can we be free if we live in a country of laws...? That's crazy! Law & order doesn't equal freedom, now does it? Oppression and bondage equals law and order...not freedom ='s law & order. If law and order does truly equal (=) freedom, then I should get a refund from the college I attended because the class I took on philosophy covering ethics, logic, etc. never conveyed that such logic was true and correct. A course in basic Algebra proves that law & order does not equal freedom. Why not...? Because it's an inequality...! Any idiot knows that... That's right, an inequality is quite the opposite of an equation, I'm afraid. Why do they educate the sheeple: us, anyway? To make us unhappy at the fake world of reality that permeates our existence? I read a book in college that was entitled: How to lie with statistics. I don't remember being told to read a book entitled: How to lie with propaganda. Heaven forbid, we should ever be told the truth about anything. There's nothing wrong with America: only the people in it. I rest my case...

Cinderella Liberty: A Novel of America

By

F. Scott Sinclair

Dedicated to Thomas Jefferson who said: “I
have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal
hostility against every form of tyranny over
the mind of man.”

Publisher’s Foreword

I have always admired Ms. Sylvia Beach,
the American Publisher in Paris during the
1920’s who helped bring into the world
some important works by Ernest Hemingway
and James Joyce. This admiration has
moved me to look for possible successors
to these worthy authors in ThailandIn
addition, I would like to help Thai writers
to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. I
intend to publish translations of the best
Thai novels as well as original works by
foreign writers.

The novel you are about to read is
another result of my long search. I
hope that many more will follow.

An Excerpt From “Cinderella Liberty: A Novel of America

                                 Interrogation Room One

The Customs officer ordered Rick Olson to spread his
legs and lean forward with his hands against the wall.
Rick overheard two Customs officers discussing the
cover-up, but didn’t hear enough of the conversation
to understand what was being said. One of the Customs
officers became upset with the other officer when he
saw Rick staring at them from behind the open door.
Abruptly, he rushed over and slammed the door in Rick’s
face. Rick was taking his shoes off and emptying his
pockets onto the table, when the force of the banging
door knocked his valuables onto the floor. Dazed, he
thought: Why had they mentioned his name?

Suddenly the door opened and Inspector Norris
came in. “Is your name Rick Olson?”

“That’s what my passport says,” Rick replied, tired
of being held against his will.

“We are in charge here, so just answer my questions
and cut the bullshit,” Norris said, as he massaged his
.38 caliber revolver. “Were any of your relatives on
the plane with you?”
“Just my wife. No blood relatives, if that’s what you mean.”

“That’s exactly what I mean. Continue with the search
and let Al and I know if you find anything,” Norris said,
as he left the room.

Rick could not figure out why his name kept coming
up in conversations, but knowing how U.S. Customs
operates, it couldn’t be a favorable sign. “Now sit over
there in the corner. Put your right leg over your left,”
said the 300 pound white Customs officer. He yanked
Rick’s leg down towards the floor.
After thoroughly searching Rick and his clothing,
the black inspector stood by watching Rick being
humiliated by this fat pervert of a Customs officer.
Rick was so outraged by this senseless warrantless
search that he clinched his fist, and said angrily, “I
heard while I was out of the country that there was
a coup against Gorbachev, but what’s your excuse?
Was there a coup in America while I was gone? Has
America become a Communist country? Violating
my fucking Constitutional rights takes the damn cake.
This country will sell its soul down the drain in order
to stop drugs from entering the country. Let’s violate
everybody’s Fourth Amendment rights against
unreasonable search and seizure, just to catch a
couple of smugglers. How many damn people do
you search and catch with drugs on them? Not
many is my guess! How the hell do you Gestapo
bastards sleep at night? Fuck probable cause and
your Gestapo tactics!”

“Shut up, white boy,” the black officer said.

“Don’t raise your flaky voice to me, you…,”
Rick tried to say.

     “You white mother-fuckers have persecuted
us black folks since this country was born. Now
it’s our turn to kick your white asses around. We
have the laws and the means to enforce them that
Congress, in its infinite wisdom, has chosen to enact.
That means trouble for you, white boy. The Supreme
Court is our hammer. Those fuckers on the Court
have given us their seal of approval, so there isn’t a
mother-fucking thing you can do about it. So get
your white ass out of here,” he said, as he slammed
his notepad down on the desk.

“Your methods would never withstand the scrutiny
of a Nuremberg trial!” Rick retorted with disdain at
the arrogant bastard’s remarks.

“We live in America and we make world law.
Our country tells others what to do, and we abide
by world law if it suits our purposes. They don’t
call us the bully of the world for nothing, and don’t
you forget it. You, as an American citizen, have no
more power than foreign countries do in this regard.
The federal government dictates the terms and
conditions of how much freedom you will or will
not have. The Constitution is an out-of-date document
kept around to give you bleeding heart liberals a sense
of freedom. The general public is the servant, not the
other way around. Go ahead, write your Congressman,
but it won’t do you any damn good. Now get the hell
out of here before I arrest you just for the hell of it,”
the black officer said, pushing Rick bodily out the
door.

Rick decided not to press his luck any longer.
That inspector looked like he was about to carry out
his implied threat. This guy could plant drugs on him,
or the two of them could conspire together to say
Rick had threatened them.

“Hi, darling,” Rick said in a low voice, being in
a state of physical and mental exhaustion.

“What happened?” Noot asked, as she tried
to console him. She knew that he had been through
the mill.

“Let’s not discuss it now, these guys aren’t in
a friendly mood,” he said, as they departed the
Customs area.
